Alderholt Reading Room

Inside, the space includes an open fire that keeps it cosy during gatherings. Managed by a dedicated association as a registered charity, it functions primarily as a versatile meeting room for local groups, supporting a range of activities from lectures to leisure pursuits.

Over the years, the Reading Room has benefited from community funding for essential upkeep, such as roof replacements and redecoration, ensuring it continues to serve the village effectively. Its location on Station Road places it conveniently within Alderholt, complementing other local facilities while offering a smaller, more intimate alternative for events.

The building’s simple design and historical significance make it a noteworthy spot in the Dorset countryside, blending practicality with a touch of heritage.
