Burgate Manor Farm: A Farm Stay on the Edge of the New Forest

Burgate Manor Farm sits just outside Fordingbridge, right on the boundary of the New Forest National Park. The place has been in the same family for over a century, and they have converted old farm buildings into holiday lets.

You get six smaller cottages arranged around a courtyard: Swan, Heron, Teal, Mallard, Grebe, and Kingfisher. These sleep between four and eight people each, with open-plan living areas, equipped kitchens, and private patios.

The farm also features a large games barn with table tennis, pool tables, and space for kids to play, plus outdoor areas for barbecues or picnics by the water meadows.

For families new to the area, it suits relaxed stays with a mix of farm life and easy access to attractions. Dogs are welcome in some cottages, and there are electric vehicle charging points. The whole setup encourages time outdoors, whether watching wildlife or exploring the park’s 140,000 acres.
